When you call or email Tilted Design®, you will only ever communicate directly with the artist.
I started my career as an illustrator for the big Oxford based publishers back in 1994. I worked for a small studio who provided creatives for the education market.
I’ve produced illustrations for everything from the Reader’s Digest DIY Manual (1998) to Bear Grylls ‘How to Stay Alive’ (ISBN 978-0-552-16879-3). I was once a lead illustrator in the production of a pictorial town plan of London which was presented to Ken Livingstone when he was in office as Mayor of London.
This later moved into CD-ROM and digital accompaniments where Flash-based media was becoming the new thing, and this is where my animation skills were first founded.
Hello and welcome, I'm James Petrie and here is my mini biography...
Although I have worked in publishing for decades I have rarely been credited with such accolades. So as a result I’m very much “an unknown artist” by all accounts, but my work has likely been seen by many thousands of people over the years.
What can you expect from

Social media is a crucial part for most businesses to promote their products and services, and while there are many templates and tools to help create content for the business owner, these can often look very generic resulting in less effective marketing.
What I offer is fully bespoke illustrative and animation content that enhances message effectiveness. It is a well known fact that people are much more likey to respond and remember an animation than they are a static image. So make your marketing POP! and ask me about some creative animations for your social media marketing.
This animated artwork shown here is my own tribiute to the Australian artist “Shaun Tan,” inspired from his characters, whose works have been a huge inspiration.
